The measure and the written quote
The home visit, the samples and the written quote are free, and there is no obligation to order. The quote lists every blind or shutter, its size, fabric or finish and price, with fitting and child-safety devices included. It stays open for 30 days.
Ordering and the deposit
You order by accepting the written quote. We then ask for a deposit of half the total price.
You can change your mind and have the deposit back in full until we order your fabric, slats or shutter panels, which we do on the working day after you accept. From then on the deposit is not refundable, because everything is being made to your measurements and cannot be sold to anyone else.
No 14-day cancellation for made-to-measure goods
Blinds and shutters made to your measurements are goods made to your specifications. The 14-day right to cancel in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to them, under regulation 28(1)(b). We say so on the written quote, before you order.
Your other rights are not affected. If anything we supply is faulty, not as described or badly fitted, we put it right.
Paying the balance
The balance is due on the day of fitting, once you have checked that every blind or shutter works and looks as it should.
Guarantee
The five-year guarantee covers the mechanisms and our fitting. Fabric fading from strong sun and damage from misuse are not covered.
